EBRD Is Back
Natalia Khanzhenkova, the Managing Director for Central Asia and Russia of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), led the delegation of the bank this week during a visit to Uzbekistan.
The working visit included meetings and negotiations in the ministries and agencies of our country. Prospects for forming an agenda for cooperation between Uzbekistan and the EBRD, as well as practical aspects of the opening of the Bank’s representative office in Tashkent, were discussed during talks with the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The sides exchanged views on the progress of work undertaken on the draft EBRD Strategy for Uzbekistan for 5 years, as well as the Bank’s participation in the upcoming International Investment Forum in Tashkent and the conference “Central Asia in the System of International Transport Corridors: Strategic Perspectives and Unrealized Opportunities”.
