The Kurash Day

The res­o­lu­tion of the Pres­i­dent of Uzbek­istan en­vis­ages the devel­op­ment and ap­proval of the pro­gram of com­pre­hen­sive mea­sures for the fur­ther devel­op­ment of the na­tional sport - wrestling kurash.

In ac­cor­dance with the pro­gram, in or­der to pop­u­lar­ize this na­tional strug­gle and en­sure the qual­ity leisure of youth in the re­gional cen­ters and the city of Nukus, cen­ters for the na­tional form of wrestling kurash will be es­tab­lished, and in each district (city) - mod­ern sports clubs and sec­tions.

It also pro­vides for the or­ga­ni­za­tion and hold­ing of na­tional and in­ter­na­tional com­pe­ti­tions and kurash tour­na­ments on an on­go­ing ba­sis, the in­tro­duc­tion of an au­to­mated data­base of par­tic­i­pants in com­pe­ti­tions and tour­na­ments for this sport, an in­crease in quo­tas for ad­mis­sion to higher and se­condary spe­cial, pro­fes­sional ed­u­ca­tional in­sti­tu­tions in the di­rec­tion of Kurash equip­ment ‘yakhtak’ and mats ‘gilam’, meet­ing world stan­dards, de­vel­op­ing a me­dia plan to pop­u­lar­ize it.

These mea­sures are aimed at the devel­op­ment and pop­u­lar­iza­tion of kurash among the pop­u­la­tion, es­pe­cially youth, the cre­ation of a do­mes­tic brand for the man­u­fac­ture of sports equip­ment and in­ven­tory, the in­crease in the ef­fec­tive­ness of the Kurash Fed­er­a­tion of Uzbek­istan.

It will be in­cluded in the pro­grams of sports games Umid Ni­hol­lari, Barkamol Avlod and the Univer­si­ade.

In ac­cor­dance with the res­o­lu­tion, on Septem­ber 6, the day of the na­tional sport of Kurash was es­tab­lished, which is sym­bol­i­cally con­nected with the cre­ation of the In­ter­na­tional Kurash As­so­ci­a­tion.

A num­ber of priv­i­leges are en­vis­aged that will sig­nif­i­cantly strengthen the ma­te­rial and tech­ni­cal base of the Kurash Fed­er­a­tion of Uzbek­istan, in­crease the so­cial pro­tec­tion of ath­letes and coaches for kurash.

In par­tic­u­lar, the tax­able prof­its of le­gal en­ti­ties are re­duced by the amount of con­tri­bu­tions, funds in the form of spon­sor­ship and char­i­ta­ble as­sis­tance di­rected to fi­nance the ac­tiv­i­ties of the Kurash Fed­er­a­tion of Uzbek­istan, but not more than 10% of tax­able prof­its.

Rev­enues in the form of cash prizes and valu­able prizes, given by the Kurash Fed­er­a­tion of Uzbek­istan to ath­letes and coaches, are ex­empt from the pay­ment of per­sonal in­come tax.

Ex­empt from pay­ment of all types of taxes and manda­tory con­tri­bu­tions to state trust funds, ex­cept for the off­bud­get Pen­sion Fund un­der the Min­istry of Fi­nance of the Re­pub­lic of Uzbek­istan, for a pe­riod of 5 years for the main ac­tiv­ity of the en­ter­prise, spe­cial­iz­ing in the pro­duc­tion of sports equip­ment ‘yakhtak’ and (or) mats ‘gilam’ with the pur­pose of pro­vid­ing ath­letes with af­ford­able and high-qual­ity equip­ment and in­ven­tory.

The or­der of pref­er­en­tial ad­mis­sion to the higher ed­u­ca­tional in­sti­tu­tions of win­ners of Asian games, cham­pi­onships of Asia and the world, and also cham­pi­onships of Uzbek­istan on kurash is in­tro­duced.

With a view to at­tract­ing the gen­eral pub­lic, es­pe­cially young peo­ple, the cre­ation of a non-govern­men­tal non-profit or­ga­ni­za­tion - the Kurash Na­tional Sports Cen­ter un­der the Kurash Fed­er­a­tion of Uzbek­istan - is en­vis­aged for this sport.
