Supporting Small Businesses

The attention paid to developing small business and private entrepreneurship in our country, increasing volumes and improving the quality of production owing to the widespread introduction of modern technologies into the sphere gives good results.

Farmers of the Kashkadarya region in 2016 put on the domestic market about 1.5 million tons of vegetables and fruits. Impregnated with the rays of the sun, grown on the fertile soil of our country, they are rich in useful elements, have high taste and nutritional characteristics.

In recent years, the region has paid special attention to the processing of agricultural products. Entrepreneurs that begin their activities in this direction are fully supported. In 2016, over

10,000 tons of fruits and vegetables were processed here, and this figure is expected to increase this year.

At the fruit processing plant «Darmon sharbatlari» of the Yakkabag district, juices are produced in one and a half and threeliter packaging.

«Despite the fact that we recently started our activity, we produce 12 tons of products a day,» said the plant's technologist Gafur Juraev. “Modern energy-saving technologies allow us to process up to 20 tons of fruits and vegetables per day. At the moment we mainly produce apple juice, which we supply to the domestic market. We have the opportunity to produce juices from grapes, pomegranate and other fruits and vegetables. After using our workshops at full capacity, the range of products will reach nine types.”

The production processes here are automated, which ensures high productivity and product quality. Juice is made by pressing fruit. First, the raw material is washed and sorted, then crushed. The resulting liquid is filtered, heated in a special container to 80 degrees of heat and cooled. Finished products are packed in one- and three-liter aseptic packages.

Raw materials are purchased from the population, farmers and dehkan farms. Organized three years ago, an intensive garden on the square in 20 hectares began to bring the harvest. This season, with each apple tree in the garden, 20-30 kilograms of fruits are collected. The entire crop is sent for processing. As a result of the implementation of promising projects, about 30 new jobs will be created.

«I graduated from the local agroindustrial professional college,» says Nargiza Narmonova from the village of Esat in the Yakkabag district. “The opening of such a modern industrial enterprise in our district turned out to be very useful for us, the youth. All conditions for workers are created here.”

The products, which occupy ever stronger positions on the market, are to the liking of large customers. Representatives of the enterprise took part in the 2nd International fruit and vegetable fair, which was held from 6 to 8 September this year in Uzexpocenter. Presented on a special stand, natural juices aroused great interest among foreign buyers. In particular, Russian partners expressed their desire to acquire them, and corresponding agreements were reached.
