Uzbek Ambassador to Turkey Commences Mission
The newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Alisher Agzamkhodjayev, has presented his credentials to the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
During the conversation, the head of state stressed that Uzbekistan is Turkey’s important partner in Central Asia and the world and expressed willingness to facilitate the elevation of bilateral relations to a qualitatively new level in all areas of mutual interest.
In addition, he noted the positive dynamics in the Uzbek-Turkish relations observed since the highest-level negotiations in November 2016 in Samarkand. The subsequent meetings of the leaders of the two countries in Beijing, Astana and New York made it possible to start working together to mobilize the existing great opportunities for building mutually beneficial cooperation.
The head of the Turkish state also stressed the symbolic character of the forthcoming visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Turkey, which is expected to afford a new impetus to the advancement of the Uzbek-Turkish political dialogue, enhancement of cooperation between our two nations in trade-economic, investment, financial-technical and other realms.
