The capital Tashkent has hosted a rating winning tournament on chess. In a competition consisting of nine rounds, over a hundred chess players vied for the victory.
Bakhtiyor Jumayev earned the first position, having won in seven of nine parties, and in two fixed draws. Muslimbek Abdurakhimov, who scored 8 points out of nine possible, took second place in additional indicators, Hoshim Ergashev with 7.5 points in third place.
In the women’s competitions Julia Hegai, who scored 6.5 points, took first place, Hilola Abdukarimova and Rano Abdukholikova, who recorded 6 points in their assets, took the second and third ranks, respectively.
Among the veterans, the best result was shown by Mohir Kashayev, Samandar Shermukhamedov was the best among chess players up to the age of 18, Alisher Umrzokov, Ulugbek Sultonov, Bahrom Bakhrullayev, Umarkhon Fakhriddinkhujaev, Javohir Gulomov, Davlat Makhmudjonov and Bobur Bobokhujaev showed the best results among young chess players under 7 and 13.
