Games Virtual, Arena Real
Tashkent has opened the first arena for virtual sports games, UZ Arena. In November, it is planned to select the national team for e-Sports.
The cybersport arena is located on 2,300 square meters in the shopping mall Integro. There are 30 consoles Sony Playstation, 50 computers, three LEDscreen for live sporting events and e-Sports, as well as a special place for table tennis with a professional trainer.
E-Sports are open competitions among users of computer games Counter-Strike, StarCraft, Dota 2, League of Legends, Heroes of the Storm, World of Tanks, and others.
According to the president of UVSCF Azizbek Pattakhov, in the beginning of November it is planned to conduct a selection to the national team for e-Sports. The exact date of the selection will be announced by October 20.
The selection will take place in the disciplines FIFA 18 (PS4 platform), DOTA 2 (PC) and CS: GO (PC). Based on their results, one team will be formed in each discipline. The federation will conclude official sports contracts with all team members.
