Games Vir­tual, Arena Real

Tashkent has opened the first arena for vir­tual sports games, UZ Arena. In Novem­ber, it is planned to select the na­tional team for e-Sports.

The cy­ber­sport arena is lo­cated on 2,300 square me­ters in the shop­ping mall In­te­gro. There are 30 con­soles Sony Plays­ta­tion, 50 com­put­ers, three LEDscreen for live sport­ing events and e-Sports, as well as a spe­cial place for ta­ble ten­nis with a pro­fes­sional trainer.

E-Sports are open com­pe­ti­tions among users of com­puter games Counter-Strike, StarCraft, Dota 2, League of Leg­ends, He­roes of the Storm, World of Tanks, and oth­ers.

Ac­cord­ing to the pres­i­dent of UVSCF Az­izbek Pat­takhov, in the be­gin­ning of Novem­ber it is planned to con­duct a se­lec­tion to the na­tional team for e-Sports. The ex­act date of the se­lec­tion will be an­nounced by Oc­to­ber 20.

The se­lec­tion will take place in the dis­ci­plines FIFA 18 (PS4 plat­form), DOTA 2 (PC) and CS: GO (PC). Based on their re­sults, one team will be formed in each dis­ci­pline. The fed­er­a­tion will con­clude of­fi­cial sports con­tracts with all team mem­bers.
