Uzbekistan Today (English) - - WORLD -

Shinzo Abe, Prime Minister of Japan, has thanked the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev for the immediate sending of a sincere congratulatory letter in connection with victory in the general parliamentary elections in the Country of the Rising Sun.

Despite the fact that the elections took place in a difficult atmosphere, the Liberal Democratic Party was able to win, and it gives me great pleasure to continue cooperation with your Excellency, the letter read. I intend to continue to work closely with your Excellency to deepen friendly relations between Japan and Uzbekistan, as well as to jointly address the international and regional issues facing our countries, including resolving the North Korean problem.
