WADA and NOC of Uzbekistan have agreed to open a National Anti-Doping Agency.
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan reached an agreement on the opening of the National Anti-Doping Agency in our country.
It was achieved during the meeting of the OIC Secretary General Oybek Kasimov and Deputy Director General of WADA Rob Kohler in Czech Prague.
WADA initiated the creation of an independent national anti-doping organization in Uzbekistan, taking into account the improvement of the results of Uzbek athletes in the international arena in recent years. The National Olympic Committee supported this initiative.
The implementation of the anti-doping program in sports and the implementation of WADA rules and requirements is stated in the President's Decree of 9 March “On the preparation of athletes of Uzbekistan to the XXXII Summer Olympics and XVI Paralympics in 2020 in Tokyo (Japan)”.
