The Chinese company Beijing Triumph International Engineering Co. (part of the CNBM industrial group) has signed a contract for the construction of a new cement plant by «dry method» in Uzbekistan.

The contract with a total cost of more than $ 160 million assumes performance of works on designing, construction, delivery, manufacturing and installation of equipment, as well as training of personnel. The new plant is planned to be built on the basis of the existing enterprise Ahangarancement and launched by 2020.

The project will be implemented within the framework of the agreement signed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of EUROCEMENT Group Filaret Galchev and the Chairman of the Board of Uzqurilishmateriallari Botir Zaripov.

- Today Uzbekistan is developing dynamically. Consumption of building materials is growing. The production capacity of Ahangarancement is now 100% loaded. The demand for the company's products is increasing not only in Uzbekistan, but also in neighboring countries. The construction of a new cement plant will, on the one hand, fully meet demand within the country, on the other - to increase the supply of products for export, - Filaret Galchev said.

A new plant with a capacity of 3 million tons of cement a year will become the largest similar enterprise in Central Asia and will be equipped with high-tech equipment mainly from European manufacturers. The choice as a contractor of the CNBM industrial group, which is the world leader in the field of cement engineering, will allow EUROCEMENT group to create in Uzbekistan one of the most efficient and modern enterprises of the building materials industry.

The implementation of the project will also help expand production of competitive products, reduce the energy intensity of the economy, introduce progressive energy-efficient and resource-saving technologies into production. At the same time, the capacities of Ahangarancement will be used all the time while the construction of a new industrial enterprise is underway.

Currently, there are five large cement plants in the country: Kyzylkumcement, Ahangarancement, Kuvasaycement, Bekabadcement, Jizzakh cement plant, as well as a number of small enterprises. Their total capacity exceeds 8.5 million tons of products per year. In total, in the next five years, in our country, an increase in the output of cement is planned to double - up to 17 million tons per year.
