Uzbek, Georgian Diplomats Swap Views
A regular round of political consultations has been held in Tbilisi between the delegations of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Georgia.
The sides exchanged views on key issues on the UzbekGeorgian agenda. It was noted that the meeting of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Prime Minister of Georgia Georgy Kvirikashvili in September 2017 in New York was an important stage in bilateral relations and defined promising directions for enhancing the cooperation.
This created the basis for expanding Uzbek-Georgian relations, giving them a multi-faceted character, and intensifying the activities of joint cooperation mechanisms. In this context, proposals on the timing and agenda of the forthcoming meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Relations were considered.
