In Tashkent, the III Repub­li­can fes­ti­val of short films PRO­logue, which have been shot by young film­mak­ers held.

Many cin­ema ex­perts agree that this is the first fes­ti­val of this mag­ni­tude. This year, he ac­quired a com­pletely dif­fer­ent, higher sta­tus. PRO­logue will pro­mote the sup­port of young film-mak­ers, fa­mil­iar­ize the gen­eral pub­lic with their cre­ativ­ity. And many of the di­rec­tors who have ar­rived al­ready have a se­ri­ous «bag­gage» be­hind their shoul­ders.

The event is held for the third time and is or­ga­nized on the ini­tia­tive of the Union of Youth of Uzbek­istan, the «Uzbekkino» Na­tional Agency, the Coun­cil of Young Cine­matog­ra­phers and the Cen­ter for the Devel­op­ment of Cin­e­matog­ra­phy.

The pre­sented short films will be eval­u­ated in six cat­e­gories: «Best Short Film», «Best Screen­play», «Best Direc­tor's Work», «Best Cin­e­matog­ra­phy», «Best Ac­tor», «Best Ac­tress». An in­ter­est­ing fact is that of the hun­dreds of works sent by the com­mis­sion se­lected only

15 paint­ings, which un­doubt­edly en­hances the qual­ity of the fes­ti­val it­self.

As the young cin­e­matog­ra­pher San­jar Sultonov noted at the open­ing cer­e­mony, the fes­ti­val is very use­ful for young peo­ple of Uzbek­istan, and creative di­a­logue with fa­mous film­mak­ers, their views on the first films are very im­por­tant for be­com­ing a pro­fes­sion and gain­ing new heights.
