In Accordance with Roadmap

Uzbekistan Today (English) - - WORLD -

We are building our future ourselves. And we do not have the right to make mistakes on this way ... Within the framework of implementing the Strategy of Actions, more than 20 laws and over 700 by-laws have been adopted this year alone. At the same time, we proceeded from the fact that the laws corresponded to the aspirations of people, worked for the interests of the country. And we will continue this work.” These are the words from the speech of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the festive event dedicated to the Constitution Day.

The work will be continued, and plans for the following years are already outlined. In 2018-2019, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan will carry out reconstruction and expansion of the most loaded border crossing points. The parties agreed on this during a working meeting of representatives of customs, border and other agencies, which took place at the customs border post Yallama.

The implementation of the road map will contribute to a significant increase in capacity, comfortable movement of both individuals traveling on foot or on private cars, as well as cargo carriers following transit routes through the territories of the two countries.

The working groups of the parties also visited the border crossing points Gishtkuprik, Zangiota and Tashkent, where the primary tasks for the implementation of the action plan were identified.

The meeting was organized in accordance with the roadmap for the reconstruction and modernization of checkpoints, highways and the construction of an adjacent territory on the Uzbek-Kazakh state border, signed during the official visit of the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev to Uzbekistan.
