Uzbek Soc­cer with Span­ish Roots

Uzbek­istan Foot­ball Fed­er­a­tion in­tends to in­tro­duce Span­ish foot­ball sys­tem in our coun­try. That was an­nounced dur­ing the meet­ing of UFF Pres­i­dent Umid Ah­mad­jonov and sports di­rec­tor of the Royal Fed­er­a­tion of Span­ish Foot­ball (RFEF) Fer­nando Hierro on Jan­uary 21.

Fer­nando Hierro ex­pressed his will­ing­ness to pro­vide the nec­es­sary as­sis­tance in cre­at­ing a sys­tem of “per­fect and mod­ern” foot­ball in Uzbek­istan. First of all, it will be clearly re­flected in the struc­ture of UFF, the work of na­tional teams and the club in­fra­struc­ture.

In ad­di­tion, sev­eral 16-year-old foot­ballers from Uzbek­istan will go to Spain in sum­mer and take part in train­ing camps of lo­cal clubs. Rep­re­sen­ta­tives of the clubs of the Uzbek Su­per League will be able to im­prove their skills and im­prove their qual­i­fi­ca­tions in such clubs as Real Madrid, Barcelona, Va­len­cia and Atletico Madrid.

In a word, Span­ish foot­ball sys­tem of in our coun­try will be in­tro­duced. All work will be ar­ranged on the ba­sis of the Span­ish model - from chil­dren’s soc­cer to the train­ing pro­cesses of the na­tional team, the re­port says.

More­over, Fer­nando Hierro said that, if nec­es­sary, he will send Span­ish spe­cial­ists to Uzbek­istan to con­duct train­ings sem­i­nars and in­tro­duce the sys­tem of pro­fes­sional devel­op­ment.

In March, a del­e­ga­tion of Uzbek­istan Foot­ball Fed­er­a­tion is ex­pected to visit Spain to study the struc­ture of the foot­ball fed­er­a­tion, the sys­tem of work of clubs and the mech­a­nisms for the prepa­ra­tion of na­tional teams.
