Press­ing Is­sues in La­bor Re­la­tions Dis­cussed in Geneva

The 107th ses­sion of the In­ter­na­tional La­bor Con­fer­ence is cur­rently in progress in Geneva. More than 4 thou­sand del­e­gates from 187 mem­ber states of the In­ter­na­tional La­bor Or­ga­ni­za­tion (ILO) are dis­cussing a wide range of is­sues.

Uzbekistan Today (English) - - TODAY IN UZBEKISTAN -

The del­e­ga­tion of Uzbek­istan headed by Deputy Prime Min­is­ter of the Repub­lic Tanzila Nar­bayeva takes part in the work of the 107th ses­sion. The group also in­cludes the Min­is­ter of Em­ploy­ment and La­bor Re­la­tions S.Kud­biev, Chair­man of the Cham­ber of Com­merce and In­dus­try A.Ikramov, Deputy Chair­man of the Fed­er­a­tion of Trade Unions of Uzbek­istan B.Mah­madaliyev.

Top­i­cal is­sues in the sphere of la­bor, so­cial di­a­logue and gen­der equal­ity in the la­bor mar­ket are dis­cussed. The mem­bers of the Uzbek del­e­ga­tion in­tend to share pos­i­tive ex­pe­ri­ence of work­ing in the field of so­cial and la­bor re­la­tions with the ILO with par­tic­i­pants, talk about how car­di­nal mea­sures are taken in Uzbek­istan to cre­ate de­cent work­ing con­di­tions for the pop­u­la­tion.
