UN Gen­eral As­sem­bly Res­o­lu­tion Dis­cussed

Yesterday, par­tic­i­pants of a round­table dis­cus­sion in Tashkent de­lib­er­ated on the sig­nif­i­cance of the re­cent UN Gen­eral As­sem­bly res­o­lu­tion “Strength­en­ing re­gional and in­ter­na­tional co­op­er­a­tion to en­sure peace, sta­bil­ity and sus­tain­able de­vel­op­ment in the Cen­tral Asian re­gion”.

The event was or­ga­nized by the In­sti­tute of Strate­gic and In­ter­re­gional Stud­ies un­der the Pres­i­dent of the Repub­lic of Uzbek­istan with as­sis­tance from the Academy of Pub­lic Ad­min­is­tra­tion un­der the Pres­i­dent of the Repub­lic of Uzbek­istan.

The round­table con­trib­u­tors dis­cussed the essence and sig­nif­i­cance of the UN Gen­eral As­sem­bly res­o­lu­tion in the de­vel­op­ment of Cen­tral Asia, as well as the prospects for the con­sol­i­da­tion of re­gional and in­ter­na­tional co­op­er­a­tion in en­sur­ing peace, sta­bil­ity and sus­tain­able de­vel­op­ment in Cen­tral Asia.

The oc­ca­sion was at­tended by rep­re­sen­ta­tives of the Se­nate and Leg­isla­tive Cham­ber of the Oliy Ma­jlis, the Min­istry of For­eign Af­fairs, the Min­istry of For­eign Trade, the Academy of Sciences, the In­ter­na­tional Re­la­tions In­for­ma­tion and An­a­lyt­i­cal Cen­ter, the heads of of­fices of in­ter­na­tional or­ga­ni­za­tions and diplo­matic mis­sions of for­eign coun­tries in Tashkent, as well as do­mes­tic and for­eign jour­nal­ists ac­cred­ited in Uzbek­istan.
