A nor­ma­tive ba­sis for the im­ple­men­ta­tion of the above tasks was pro­vided by the pro­gram of com­pre­hen­sive mea­sures to sup­port women and strengthen the in­sti­tu­tion of fam­ily, adopted in ac­cor­dance with the Pres­i­dent’s De­cree en­vis­ag­ing mea­sures to fun­da­men­tally im­prove the ac­tiv­i­ties in sup­port for women and bol­ster the in­sti­tu­tion of fam­ily, signed Fe­bru­ary 2, 2018, and the Res­o­lu­tion of the Cab­i­net of Min­is­ters out­lin­ing mea­sures to boost the ef­fec­tive­ness of ob­stet­ric- gy­ne­co­log­i­cal and med­i­cal care ser­vices pro­vided to girls and women of fer­tile age, inked 10 May 2018.

“The Repub­li­can ( Na­tional) Cen­ter for Girls’ Health started its ac­tiv­ity at the Chil­dren’s Gyne­col­ogy Depart­ment of the Tashkent Pe­di­atric Med­i­cal In­sti­tute, and girls’ health cen­ters op­er­ate at the chil­dren’s gyne­col­ogy de­part­ments of chil­dren’s mul­ti­di­men­sional med­i­cal cen­ters of the Repub­lic of Karakalpak­stan and the re­gions, as well as the Tashkent city teenage dis­pen­sary,” Deputy Min­is­ter of Health Elmira Ba­sitkhanova said. “In ad­di­tion, in or­der to pro­vide our girls with qual­i­fied gy­ne­co­log­i­cal out­pa­tient care in all dis­tricts and towns, with the mul­ti­di­men­sional cen­tral poly­clin­ics, the girls’ health de­part­ments are or­ga­nized. Our goal is to reach out to over 5 mil­lion girls un­der 18 years of age in the coun­try. These cen­ters and de­part­ments are des­ig­nated a dis­tinct role in the de­vel­op­ment of mod­ern in­fra­struc­ture for the pro­vi­sion of high- tech, spe­cial­ized qual­i­fied med­i­cal care to girls and young women. In the fu­ture, given the need for these cen­ters, it is en­vis­aged to ex­pand their scope of ac­tiv­i­ties.”

The ac­tiv­i­ties of these health cen­ters are aimed at pro­vid­ing spe­cial med­i­cal as­sis­tance to girls, the for­ma­tion of an ed­u­ca­tional, sci­en­tific and ma­te­rial and tech­ni­cal base build­ing on high tech­nolo­gies in pe­di­atric gyne­col­ogy. In ad­di­tion, it en­vi­sions the trans­fer of ex­pe­ri­ence to spe­cial­ized in­sti­tu­tions of the coun­try for the pro­vi­sion of spe­cial­ized med­i­cal as­sis­tance based on high tech­nolo­gies for di­ag­nos­tics, treat­ment, pre­ven­tion and re­ha­bil­i­ta­tion in this area.
