Sim­i­lar Ap­proaches, Close Views

At the Sixth Sum­mit of the Co­op­er­a­tion Coun­cil of Tur­kic Speak­ing Coun­tries held in the Kyr­gyz city of Cholpon-Ata, Uzbek­istan voiced to its readi­ness to par­tic­i­pate in the as­so­ci­a­tion’s ac­tiv­i­ties in ar­eas of prac­ti­cal in­ter­est to the nation.

The sum­mit meet­ing was at­tended by the heads of mem­ber states of this or­ga­ni­za­tion: Pres­i­dent of the Re­pub­lic of Azer­bai­jan Il­ham Aliyev, Pres­i­dent of the Re­pub­lic of Turkey Re­cep Tayyip Er­do­gan, Pres­i­dent of the Kyr­gyz Re­pub­lic Sooron­bai Jeen­bekov and Pres­i­dent of the Re­pub­lic of Kaza­khstan Nur­sul­tan Nazarbayev.

Pres­i­dent of the Re­pub­lic of Uzbek­istan Shavkat Mirziy­oyev and Prime Min­is­ter of the Re­pub­lic of Hun­gary Vic­tor Or­ban par­tic­i­pated in the sum­mit as guests of honor.

While speak­ing at the meet­ing, the head of our state noted that our peo­ples are con­nected by the sim­i­lar­ity of lan­guages, the com­mu­nity of spir­i­tual val­ues and the ties of co­op­er­a­tion, today there are no prob­lems or dis­agree­ments on the po­lit­i­cal agenda of the coun­cil.

“Our coun­tries in cur­rent in­ter­na­tional and re­gional is­sues have sim­i­lar or akin views and ap­proaches. At the same time, co­op­er­a­tion in the fields of econ­omy, in­vest­ment, in­no­va­tion, trans­port and com­mu­ni­ca­tions, tourism, sci­ence and ed­u­ca­tion, which fully meets the vi­tal in­ter­ests of our peo­ples, is ac­tively de­vel­op­ing,” Shavkat Mirziy­oyev said.

Thanks to the po­lit­i­cal will, open and con­struc­tive for­eign pol­icy of the Pres­i­dent of our coun­try in Cen­tral Asia, a cli­mate of trust has been es­tab­lished, and friendly ties have been strength­ened among the coun­tries of the re­gion.

As a re­sult of meet­ings and di­a­logues at the high­est level, co­op­er­a­tion with Kaza­khstan, Kyr­gyzs­tan, Turkey and Azer­bai­jan cov­er­ing var­i­ous spheres has been fur­ther strength­ened. Over the past year, the vol­ume of trade be­tween our coun­try and its mem­ber states has grown by more than 40 per­cent.

The Pres­i­dent of Uzbek­istan noted the pos­si­bil­ity of achiev­ing even higher in­di­ca­tors and pro­posed im­por­tant di­rec­tions for the de­vel­op­ment of re­la­tions within the frame­work of the Co­op­er­a­tion Coun­cil of Tur­kic-Speak­ing Coun­tries.

First of all, the need to enhance the trade, eco­nomic and in­vest­ment co­op­er­a­tion, to boost in­ter­ac­tion among lead­ing in­dus­trial en­ter­prises, bank­ing and fi­nan­cial in­sti­tu­tions and busi­ness struc­tures was stressed. Shavkat Mirziy­oyev pro­posed hold­ing the next meet­ing of the Co­op­er­a­tion Coun­cil of Tur­kic-Speak­ing Coun­tries in Tashkent to im­ple­ment joint busi­ness projects.

At­ten­tion was paid to the cre­ation of an in­te­grated net­work of trans­port cor­ri­dors, ac­cess to ma­jor global and re­gional mar­kets. The need for in­no­va­tive de­vel­op­ment of coun­tries, ex­pan­sion of co­op­er­a­tion of re­spon­si­ble agen­cies, re­search cen­ters and ven­ture com­pa­nies was noted.

It was pointed out that there are huge op­por­tu­ni­ties for tourism de­vel­op­ment, strength­en­ing of cul­tural and hu­man­i­tar­ian ties, which will pro­mote fur­ther in­ter­ac­tion of our peo­ples. Par­tic­u­lar at­ten­tion is also paid to en­sur­ing peace and se­cu­rity, ed­u­cat­ing the en­light­ened young gen­er­a­tion.

Pres­i­dent Shavkat Mirziy­oyev noted that Uzbek­istan con­sis­tently de­vel­ops co­op­er­a­tion with mem­bers of the Co­op­er­a­tion Coun­cil of Tur­kicS­peak­ing Coun­tries, pri­mar­ily with its neigh­bors, and it looks to the fu­ture of this in­ter­na­tional struc­ture with great hope.

“We are in­ter­ested in the fur­ther de­vel­op­ment of mu­tu­ally ad­van­ta­geous co­op­er­a­tion within this coun­cil. At this stage, we are ready to par­tic­i­pate in its ac­tiv­i­ties in ar­eas of prac­ti­cal in­ter­est to our coun­try,” Shavkat Mirziy­oyev sug­gested.

The head of our state con­grat­u­lated Pres­i­dent Sooron­bai Jeen­bekov in con­nec­tion with the tran­si­tion of chair­man­ship in the Co­op­er­a­tion Coun­cil of the Tur­kicS­peak­ing Coun­tries to the Kyr­gyz Re­pub­lic.
