New Metal Factory
The Turkish Dal Teknik Makina Ticaret ve Sanayi A.Ş. has launched a cuttingedge plant in the Angren Free Economic Zone (FEZ) for the manufacturing of metal structures.
Such items of wide application will be produced here, including those for industrial and civil building, power lines, solar panels, wind turbines, tower and bridge cranes, and tanks.
The production capacity of the plant at the first stage is estimated at 12 thousand tons of goods a year. At the second phase, the aptitude will double to reach 24 thousand tons, and up to 30 thousand tons in the third period. The Turkish company invested $ 10.7 million in the project, and 170 new jobs were created as a result.
Dal Teknik Makina Ticaret ve Sanayi A.Ş. has been working in Uzbekistan since 2012 and for five years has implemented investment projects for the construction and expansion of a cement plant in the Jizzakh region for $ 133.4 million and for the construction of a similar mill in the Sherabad district of the Surkhandarya region for $ 203.1 million.
In addition, the Turkish partners purchased a cement plant with a capacity of 100 thousand tons per year, located in the Jizzakh region, as well as a share in the Zomin Sement Invest Karyer, a limestone mining company. Now they are developing new investment schemes in Jizzakh region for $ 12.6 million.
