The Turk­ish Dal Teknik Mak­ina Ti­caret ve Sanayi A.Ş. has launched a cuttingedge plant in the An­gren Free Eco­nomic Zone (FEZ) for the man­u­fac­tur­ing of metal struc­tures.

Such items of wide ap­pli­ca­tion will be pro­duced here, in­clud­ing those for in­dus­trial and civil build­ing, power lines, so­lar pan­els, wind tur­bines, tower and bridge cranes, and tanks.

The pro­duc­tion ca­pac­ity of the plant at the first stage is es­ti­mated at 12 thou­sand tons of goods a year. At the sec­ond phase, the ap­ti­tude will dou­ble to reach 24 thou­sand tons, and up to 30 thou­sand tons in the third pe­riod. The Turk­ish com­pany in­vested $ 10.7 mil­lion in the project, and 170 new jobs were cre­ated as a re­sult.

Dal Teknik Mak­ina Ti­caret ve Sanayi A.Ş. has been work­ing in Uzbek­istan since 2012 and for five years has im­ple­mented in­vest­ment projects for the con­struc­tion and ex­pan­sion of a ce­ment plant in the Jiz­zakh re­gion for $ 133.4 mil­lion and for the con­struc­tion of a sim­i­lar mill in the Sher­abad district of the Surkhandarya re­gion for $ 203.1 mil­lion.

In ad­di­tion, the Turk­ish part­ners pur­chased a ce­ment plant with a ca­pac­ity of 100 thou­sand tons per year, lo­cated in the Jiz­zakh re­gion, as well as a share in the Zomin Se­ment In­vest Karyer, a lime­stone min­ing com­pany. Now they are de­vel­op­ing new in­vest­ment schemes in Jiz­zakh re­gion for $ 12.6 mil­lion.
