Turning the Page in the Education System
The Turkiston Palace in the heart of Tashkent hosted a festive event occasioned to the Day of Teachers and Mentors in Uzbekistan, on the eve of the public holiday celebrated every year on October 1.
President’s Advisor Khairiddin Sultanov read out the holiday greetings of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to teachers and mentors of the country.
At the festive meeting, a group of teachers and mentors from across the nation were solemnly presented the breastplates of honorary titles, orders and medals of our Motherland by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdujabar Abduvahitov for significant contribution to improving the education system based on the requirements of the time, the successful implementation of reforms in this field, many years of fruitful work in teaching the younger generation the basics of science and modern professions, bringing them up in the spirit of love for the native land and devotion to the ideas of independence, as well as for active participation in public life.
The Ministry of Public Education also used the occasion to honor the victors and prize winners of the traditional national contest “The Best Teacher of the Year in Disciplines”. They were awarded diplomas and memorable gifts.
At the gala evening, those gathered for the event were presented with songs glorifying the infinite attention given to the profession of a teacher, the native Uzbekistan, the current peaceful, harmonious and prosperous days, a bright future for the younger generation.
