Ex­pand­ing Ex­port Op­por­tu­ni­ties

The Uzbek-Rus­sian joint ven­ture Andi­jank­a­bel in Khan­abad town pro­duces high­qual­ity cop­per and alu­minum wires and cables of more than 4,500 types.

The joint ven­ture, es­tab­lished in 2002, pro­duces col­ored wires, cables for spe­cial equip­ment, the au­to­mo­tive in­dus­try, agri­cul­tural sec­tors, in­su­lated and op­er­at­ing with a cur­rent of dif­fer­ent volt­age of the elec­tric wire, tele­phone cables.

“The qual­ity of our prod­ucts fully meets the re­quire­ments of in­ter­na­tional stan­dards,” said Dil­shod­bek Hasanov, deputy di­rec­tor gen­eral of the pro­duc­tion plant. “At all stages of pro­duc­tion, spe­cial at­ten­tion is paid to prod­uct qual­ity. High-qual­ity cop­per and alu­minum are used; poly­eth­yl­ene for the man­u­fac­ture of ca­ble in­su­la­tion is brought from Swe­den. Ad­vanced tech­nol­ogy from Ger­many, Fin­land, and Switzer­land is ap­plied.”

The joint ven­ture for the first 9 months of this year pro­duced goods for more than 272 bil­lion soums. Al­most $ 11 mil­lion worth of prod­ucts were ex­ported to Rus­sia, Kaza­khstan, Kyr­gyzs­tan and other coun­tries.

The com­pany mainly man­u­fac­tures im­port-sub­sti­tut­ing prod­ucts, part of which is sold on the do­mes­tic mar­ket. Cur­rently, trade and dealer rep­re­sen­ta­tive of­fices of the en­ter­prise are op­er­at­ing in our coun­try, in Al­maty (Kaza­khstan), Bishkek (Kyr­gyzs­tan) and a num­ber of cities in Rus­sia.

There are all con­di­tions for the ef­fec­tive work of al­most 1,500 work­ers. Spe­cial at­ten­tion is paid to their so­cial pro­tec­tion and health pro­tec­tion.

“There are reg­u­lar spir­i­tual and ed­u­ca­tional events, var­i­ous con­tests and sports com­pe­ti­tions among the work­ers,” said Az­izullo Nuril­laev, chair­man of the trade union com­mit­tee of the en­ter­prise. “It helps to strengthen their health, in­crease knowl­edge, skills and pro­duc­tiv­ity. The trade union com­mit­tee work­ers are sent to var­i­ous re­sorts and med­i­cal in­sti­tu­tions of our coun­try. Hun­dreds of work­ers’ chil­dren rest at the en­ter­prise’s sum­mer recre­ation camp “Mashal” in Asaka dis­trict.
