New Op­por­tu­ni­ties for Train­ing Olympians

In the Repub­li­can Col­lege of Olympic Re­serve, a turnkey sports com­plex was com­mis­sioned with the first Olympic stan­dard swim­ming pool in Uzbek­istan.

Much at­ten­tion in our coun­try is paid to the ed­u­ca­tion of ful­ly­de­vel­oped youth, sup­port for its ini­tia­tives, and the cre­ation of con­di­tions for the re­al­iza­tion of their po­ten­tial. Con­stant work is underway on the con­struc­tion and re­con­struc­tion of sports fa­cil­i­ties that meet in­ter­na­tional stan­dards.

The open­ing cer­e­mony of the new sports fa­cil­ity was at­tended by Deputy Min­is­ter of Phys­i­cal Cul­ture and Sports of the Repub­lic of Uzbek­istan Sh. Mu­minzhanov, Sec­re­tary Gen­eral of the Na­tional Olympic Com­mit­tee of Uzbek­istan J. Matchanov, Ex­tra­or­di­nary and Plenipo­ten­tiary Am­bas­sador of the Rus­sian Fed­er­a­tion to Uzbek­istan V. Tyur­denev, as well as rep­re­sen­ta­tives of the Chil­dren’s Sport De­vel­op­ment Fund , The Min­istry of In­for­ma­tion Tech­nolo­gies and Com­mu­ni­ca­tions, ath­letes, coaches.

Ac­cord­ing to the rep­re­sen­ta­tives of the com­pany-de­vel­oper, the sports com­plex is a unique struc­ture that meets all the re­quire­ments for pre­par­ing ath­letes to ful­fill the Olympic stan­dards. The build­ing has the nec­es­sary con­di­tions for train­ing, con­duct­ing lec­tures and prac­ti­cal ex­er­cises. The pool it­self is not just a wa­ter struc­ture, but a com­plex with in­no­va­tive equip­ment spe­cially im­ported from Spain and Den­mark. The smart wa­ter anal­y­sis sys­tem in­de­pen­dently gen­er­ates and dis­trib­utes clean­ing reagents, main­tains the ap­pro­pri­ate tem­per­a­ture. Start­ing ta­bles, di­vid­ing rib­bons, flag­poles, stairs, mark­ings of the bot­tom and end walls of the pool bowl meet the most mod­ern re­quire­ments of the In­ter­na­tional Fed­er­a­tion of FINA. There is also an in­ter­ac­tive score­board, light­ing equip­ment, spe­cial pan­els for the fin­ish line.

“In ac­cor­dance with the De­cree of the Pres­i­dent of our coun­try “On mea­sures to fun­da­men­tally im­prove the sys­tem of pub­lic ad­min­is­tra­tion in the field of phys­i­cal cul­ture and sports” dated March 5, 2018, we, to­gether with the Min­istry of Phys­i­cal Cul­ture and Sports, pay spe­cial at­ten­tion to im­prov­ing work­ing meth­ods at Olympic col­leges,” says Sec­re­tary Gen­eral of the NOC of Uzbek­istan Z. Matchanov. “A new mod­ern sports com­plex, built with the sup­port of the in­ter­na­tional group of com­pa­nies VEON, will al­low pre­par­ing Olympians in con­di­tions close to the com­pe­ti­tion ones.”

In ad­di­tion to the pool and train­ing classes, the com­plex is equipped with a fenc­ing and train­ing halls, a med­i­cal of­fice and rooms for ac­com­mo­dat­ing ath­letes for the du­ra­tion of the com­pe­ti­tions.
