Angelfish Cove.

Located in beautiful Angelfish Cove, on the Pango peninsula, Angelfish Cove Villas is perfect for those looking for self-contained accommodation in a secluded location with a lovely waterfront. Built in 2008 by two of Port Vila’s best-known builders, Nick Bramley and Nick Campbell, Angelfish Cove reflects not only good taste but an understanding of what tropical island living is all about. High ceilings and French sliding doors opening completely into the outside maximise the airflow, cooling the inside spaces and lending a feeling of spaciousness. The villas have been designed to cater for all, from singles and couples to families and groups of friends. Accommodation comprises of one threebedroom beachfront villa, four twobedroom villas - two of them beachfront, and five one-bedroom studios. The cute studios are big in size and have king-size beds, kitchenettes with a full size fridge, cooktop and microwave, DVD player, free WIFI and air-con. With large decks surrounded by gardens to ensure privacy, each studio has a BBQ and four of them have their very own private plunge pool. Not only beautiful but practical, the two and three bedroom villas have sizeable kitchens, including full size fridges, stove with oven, lots of bench and cupboard space and are fully-equipped with all the things you need to cook that lovely meal; perfect for entertaining and feeling right at home. With DVD player and WIFI, you can be as connected as you need to although in this environment, you may chose to keep your devices firmly packed! The air con will keep you cool during the hottest time of the year so you can have a great night’s sleep in the large bedroom. Super spacious, the villas

also have generous living areas, more like a house than a holiday villa. Tastefully furnished in an elegant, island style, this is, no doubt, a home away from home. Extensive use of local hard woods is part of the villas’ design with hardwood floors, doors and windows. Large outdoor decks outfitted with BBQS, sun lounges and outdoor dining furniture, look out onto the ocean and gardens, ready for guests to cook and dine under the stars. It is the little details that sometimes matter most and from tasteful pictures on the wall, to nice furniture pieces and good mood-lighting, Angelfish Cove has thought of everything, even providing beach towels and a washing machine in each villa. Forget about laundry that never comes back, the new all-pink wardrobe due to that rogue pink sock and unjustifiably high laundry bills; it’s all there for your comfort. The beachfront villas are of course, the most decadent of them all, with their own outdoor veranda leading to the waterfront, the gentle ocean lapping only a few metres away, and the three-bedroom villa has its own plunge pool right on the beach.

The property also has a central pool for the use of all guests, although with a waterfront like this, it is really hardly needed. The charming beach is located on a bay, with calm waters perfect for water sports such as kayaking and snorkelling and for children to play. The resort has kayaks and snorkelling gear available for guests and the reef drops about 80 metres away from the shore offering amazing snorkelling. When you are ready to explore beyond, Angelfish Cove can arrange a bus at any time to go into town, the airport or any other location as well as book all your tours and activities. And if you feel like eating out, there are two lovely restaurants within walking distance of the resort, the lovely Coco Beach and Paradise Cove, both spectacular locations for dining and a must-try while you are here. The resort is managed by Vanuatu Luxury Holiday Homes, with over thirteen years of experience in Vanuatu’s tourism market, and has 24 hour onsitemanagement, daily housekeeping and a small shop for incidental items. If you think that all this will come with a high price tag, you may be surprised; Angelfish Cove rates are very affordable. Standard rates for studios are AU$200 for beachfront or AU$170 for beach view. The two-bedroom villas are AU$300 for beachfront and AU$250 for beach view and accommodate a maximum of 4 guests, while the three-bedroom villa is AU$365 per night, for a maximum of 6 guests. Home away from home, with a lovely tropical flavour.
