NA leader fo­cuses on S Korea, Myan­mar

National Assem­bly Chair­man Nguyeãn Sinh Huøng has called for fur­ther co­op­er­a­tion be­tween Vieät Nam and Myan­mar in an ef­fort to boost two-way trade to US$500 mil­lion over the next few years. Af­ter sign­ing an agree­ment to in­crease leg­isla­tive col­lab­o­ra­tion be­tween both coun­tries, lower house speaker Thura Shwe Mann thanked him for vis­it­ing and em­pha­sised that this was the first-ever agree­ment be­tween the two leg­isla­tive bod­ies. Dur­ing his of­fi­cial visit to South Korea, Huøng met with Pres­i­dent Park Ge­un­hye and other South Korean lead­ers in Seoul. Pres­i­dent Park sug­gested that both coun­tries over­haul their poli­cies on co-op­er­a­tion and in­vest­ment.
