Fes­ti­val spot­lights eth­nic Raglai cul­ture

With the agree­ment of the Min­is­ter of Cul­ture, Sports and Tourism, the Peo­ple's Com­mit­tee of the south­ern prov­ince of Ninh Thuaän will hold the 2013 cul­tural fes­ti­val for Raglai eth­nic peo­ple over the three days of Au­gust 29, 30 and 31. The Raglai mainly live in the prov­inces of Ninh Thuaän, Khaùnh Hoøa, Bình Thuaän and Laâm Ñoàng, with all of them ex­pected to ap­pear at this years fes­ti­val. The fes­ti­val is to pre­serve and spot­light the cul­tural val­ues of the Raglai - an eth­nic group liv­ing to the east of the Tröôøng Sôn Moun­tains in south­ern cen­tral Vieät Nam. It will also help the so­cial and eco­nomic de­vel­op­ment of the ar­eas where the Raglai live.
