Lead­ers pay trib­ute to de­parted war he­roes

Vieät Nam's top lead­ers laid a wreath and of­fered in­cense at the Mon­u­ment to War Mar­tyrs in Haø Noäi to mark the 67th an­niver­sary of Vieät Nam's War In­valids and Mar­tyrs Day (July 27). The del­e­ga­tion in­cluded Gen­eral Sec­re­tary of the Com­mu­nist Party of Vieät Nam Nguyeãn Phuù Troïng, Pres­i­dent Tröông Taán Sang, Prime Min­is­ter Nguyeãn Taán Duõng, Na­tional Assem­bly Chair­man Nguyeãn Sinh Huøng, and Chair­man of the Vieät Nam Fa­ther­land Front Cen­tral Com­mit­tee Nguyeãn Thieän Nhaân. They later paid a flo­ral trib­ute to Pres­i­dent Hoà Chí Minh at his mau­soleum. A solemn re­quiem was held in the north­ern moun­tain­ous prov­ince of Sôn La to com­mem­o­rate the heroic sol­diers who laid down their lives for the na­tion. The event was part of the na­tion­wide ac­tiv­i­ties to mark the an­niver­sary.
