VN, UAE, Qatar to boost ties

Deputy Prime Min­is­ter Nguyeãn Xuaân Phuùc held talks with his United Arab Emi­rates (UAE) coun­ter­part Sheikh Man­sour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi on Wed­nes­day dur­ing which both sides agreed to beef up their bi­lat­eral part­ner­ship in all fields, es­pe­cially trade, in­vest­ment, fi­nance and bank­ing and labour co-op­er­a­tion.

Phuùc said Vieät Nam would cre­ate favourable con­di­tions for UAE in­vestors to ex­plore business and in­vest­ment op­por­tu­ni­ties in the coun­try.

Vieät Nam and the UAE saw re­mark­able progress in their bi­lat­eral part­ner­ship over the past two decades, es­pe­cially in pol­i­tics, diplo­macy, eco­nomics and cul­ture, Phuùc said at a gala din­ner in Abu Dhabi.

Ear­lier, ad­dress­ing the Vieät Nam-Qatar eco­nomic co-op­er­a­tion fo­rum in Doha, Qatar Min­is­ter of Econ­omy and Trade Sheikh Ahmed bin Jas­sim Al Thani said the emi­rate was com­mit­ted to rais­ing two-way trade with Vieät Nam to US$1 bil­lion in the near fu­ture.
