Warns Ndola Coun­cil

By VI­O­LET TEMBO THE Zam­bia United Lo­cal Author­i­ties Work­ers Union (ZULAWU) gen­eral sec­re­tary Kings­ley Zulu has ap­pealed to Ndola City Coun­cil (NCC) man­age­ment not to politi­cise the work stop­page by its work­ers.

And Ndola Town Clerk has re­vealed that the lo­cal au­thor­ity has a debt of about K600 mil­lion and that all its bank ac­counts are in the neg­a­tive.

Speak­ing in an in­ter­view with the Daily Na­tion Mr.Zulu charged that the work­ers were right to voice out when they sus­pect that man­age­ment was not do­ing enough to en­sure set­tle­ment of salaries ar­rears.

He dis­closed that man­age­ment and the union had agreed on plans to liq­ui­date the two months salary ar­rears owed to the work
