Warns Ndola Council
By VIOLET TEMBO THE Zambia United Local Authorities Workers Union (ZULAWU) general secretary Kingsley Zulu has appealed to Ndola City Council (NCC) management not to politicise the work stoppage by its workers.
And Ndola Town Clerk has revealed that the local authority has a debt of about K600 million and that all its bank accounts are in the negative.
Speaking in an interview with the Daily Nation Mr.Zulu charged that the workers were right to voice out when they suspect that management was not doing enough to ensure settlement of salaries arrears.
He disclosed that management and the union had agreed on plans to liquidate the two months salary arrears owed to the work
