Amnesia to host ‘Independence Throwback'
LBy TERENCE MISELO USAKA’S Club Amnesia in Chamber Valley is on October 21st set to present a music gig aptly dubbed ‘Independence Throwback’. This is a show meant to celebrate Zambia’s 53rd Independence in style.
The show has been planned to court current Zed music pioneers and give revelers a musical throwback with an historic connection to the transition of the music industry.
The musicians lined up for this unique event include Leo Bweupe and Mwembe Chulu, together known as ‘The Black Muntu’, Hamoba and K’millian.
This choice of artistes according to club management is specifically meant to relive memories of old school Zambian music and appreciate the artistes for their great contribution to the industry.
The Black Muntu recently reunited when they performed at the Kwacha Music Awards. This show will be the second biggest event the two are coming together. Leo Muntu is very optimistic such shows that bring them together as Black Muntu would spark interest for the duo to work on something big.
Additionally, Hamoba is busy working on his new projects but is very keen to be at the Amnesia Independence Throwback. He promises good music and an energetic performance.
K’Millian will also be keeping his cool at the show especially that he had a wonderful performance at the recently-held Boyz II Men concert.
The Amnesia Independence Throwback is set to start at 19 hours till late.
