THE Zambia Revenue Authority is all set to collect about K45 billion in 2018, says director research and policy Ezekiel Phiri
Mr Phiri said that will be made possible with enhanced tax administration through improved tax payer services, risk management, enforcement and compliance. Mr Phiri told a media workshop for editors in Siavonga that compliance remained one of ZRA challenges. He said currently compliance levels stood at 60 percent but which it hoped to raise to 75 percent in 2018
He also said that ZRA was doing well in meeting its target in revenue collection.
He said the authority was hopeful to achieve the above target of K300 million
Addressing the same workshop Commissioner Modernization and Corporate Strategy, Dingani Banda said ZRA was pushing to improve operations for revenue collection.
This would also call for enhancement of professionalism of staff.
