THE Zambia Direct Democracy Movement (ZDDM) says it is ready to fight foreigners that have waged war against African governments by undermining and sabotaging their efforts to develop their countries. In a statement, ZDDM president Edwin Sakala said the foreigners in question had fought almost all Presidents that have ruled Zambia, starting from Dr. Kaunda. “This foreign sponsored army operating under the umbrella of opposition political parties and NGOs has continued to take advantage of the absence of a law against misinformation to cheat, plant seeds of hate and division, through misinforming the people of Zambia. “Zambians are failing to make intelligent decisions because this international force is dominating the media which is freely and with impunity cheating the people and waging an aggressive and demonizing war against government,” Mr. Sakala said. He said for ZDDM the war is beyond serving political party interests but defending Zambia’s sovereignty and Christian values, which teach love and unity. “Zambia is a very rich nation with abundant natural wealth which can save Zambians from the current unnecessarily widespread poverty. As a Christian nation we know that the Bible teaches us to respect leaders he allows to rule us instead of making them objects of insults and cynical language. “It does not matter who occupies State House they deserve respect and being opposition parties does not mean that we are licensed to fabricate lies and insults. As ZDDM we want a new era of civilized and progressive politics where political parties will work towards contributing towards building Zambia and not promoting hate and division in the nation,” Mr. Sakala said. He added: “Many Zambians unfortunately don't realise that the vicious campaign of unfounded allegations of corruption and fabricated stories about Zesco and ZNBC being sold to the Chinese are all part of a well-orchestrated campaign to force a regime change outside the ballot.”
