ZAMBIAs upcoming telco Vodafone recently made strategic changes to its top management structure. Key of these changes were the appointment of a Chief Technical and Information Technology Officer (CTIO) Jussab Kara to drive the Voice over LTE path which Vodafone has taken on to penetrate the Zambian market aggressively. Jussabs appointment took effect on 01 April. Kara has over 19 years of extensive telecommunications experience and has worked for rivals Airtel and MTN in customer service, finance, billing, marketing and Information Technology. Lars Stork, CEO of Vodafone Zambia believes that Jussab brings the capability and expertise to continue to build Vodafone Zambia as a flagship digital service provider with superior network quality and innovative technology. “We’ve got a very strong network roadmap, which includes coverage expansion, Voice over LTE and I’m excited about everything we’ll be delivering for customers,” Stork said. In its latest announcement, Kara’s said his appointment will reinforce its drive of 4G-Advanced and Voice over LTE (VoLTE) locally. “I’m delighted to be joining Vodafone Zambia at this exciting time, as we drive forward the likes of 4G-Advanced and Voice over LTE (VoLTE) all of which will power the new digital economy.
