Byo In­ter­na­tional Art Fair about to ex­plode

THE in­au­gu­ral Bu­l­awayo In­ter­na­tional Art Fair (BIAF), will be held next month at the Na­tional Art Gallery of Zim­babwe in Bu­l­awayo . Themed “Our Kids need he­roes” the fes­ti­val that will be held from Au­gust 11 to 13, aims to bring di­ver­sity and ap­pre­ci­a­tion of the arts sec­tor in Bu­l­awayo, while pro­vid­ing a plat­form for artists to net­work with the cor­po­rate world.

The BIAF will see mu­sic con­certs, side­walk stalls, a fash­ion show and dance work­shops for chil­dren be­ing held. En­ter­tain­ment will be pro­vided by An­tivirus Dance Crew, Mzoe7, Gu­luva 7, Berry Changa and Cal_Vin among oth­ers.

Founder of the art fair Mondli­wethu Nkala said they were ready to bring new vibe to the artis­tic and cre­ative world in Bu­l­awayo.

“This is an ef­fort to em­brace the vi­sion of bring­ing on board lo­cal emerg­ing and es­tab­lished artists. We’re also invit­ing en­tries for ex­hi­bi­tions,” said Nkala.

“The fair is set to pave the way for lo­cal ris­ing artists to show­case their prod­ucts, tal­ent to Zim­babwe and the world at large. Come and en­joy the artis­tic hos­pi­tal­ity of the City of Kings and Queens,” said Nkala.
