Car crash min­is­ter re­cu­per­ates from home

THE Min­is­ter of State for Mid­lands Pro­vin­cial Af­fairs Cde Ja­son Machaya (pic­tured), who was in­volved in an ac­ci­dent last month, is re­cu­per­at­ing at his home in Gweru fol­low­ing his dis­charge from a Harare hos­pi­tal last week.

Cde Machaya was in­jured when one of the wheels of his Land Rover Dis­cov­ery 4 came off re­sult­ing in the ve­hi­cle veer­ing off the road and over­turn­ing along the Harare-Gweru Road, just out­side Chegutu.

He was trav­el­ling alone from Harare to his farm in Kwekwe.

In an in­ter­view yes­ter­day, Cde Machaya said he was feel­ing much bet­ter al­though he is yet to re­sume of­fi­cial du­ties.

“Yes I was dis­charged from hos­pi­tal and I’m re­cu­per­at­ing from home. I’m feel­ing much bet­ter,” he said.

Cde Machaya said he would be go­ing to the hos­pi­tal for check-ups af­ter hav­ing been ad­mit­ted for a week.
