UN­PRE­DICTABLE Mosi Rovers threw span­ners into army side Moto Moto’s am­bi­tious project to clinch the Zifa Mat North League af­ter dis­arm­ing the sol­diers with a fa­mous 2-0 win at Chino­timba Sta­dium on Sun­day.

Their win blew this fas­ci­nat­ing league race wide open af­ter Week 18.

Sec­ond and third placed sides In­gag­ula and Baobab Rovers wel­comed this shock re­sult by post­ing cru­cial vic­to­ries of their own on Satur­day dur­ing a week­end of twists and turns.

Tyson Ncube and Tha­bani Ndlovu’s goals were enough to bom­bard the army base.

In­gag­ula edged Tenex 1-0 cour­tesy of a Rashid Chipande soli­tary strike while Rovers whacked Ama­ga­gasi U19 3-1 with Al­bert Zulu (brace) and Able Ncube tak­ing part in the de­mo­li­tion. Shel­ton Chuma got the face-saver for Ama­ga­gasi U-19. Clas­sic Luyando con­tin­ued with their re­vival as they edged hap­less Black­rock 1-0 at Lwen­dulu Old ground with an early Craig Dina set­tling mat­ters.

Corinthi­ans were ham­mered 3-0 by vis­it­ing Lukhosi Pi­rates with Pi­rates’ Brave­man Mathi­bela (brace) and Moses Khumalo en­sur­ing a rout.

Tru­mus War­riors edged Hot­spurs Leop­ards 2-1 at home with Brian Tshuma and Bril­liant Sian­zoka get­ting the goals for War­riors while Macdon­ald Lunga pulled one back for the visi­tors.

Hwange U17’s 2-0 win over league an­chors Iwisa com­pleted the week­end pro­gramme with the Chipangano de­vel­op­men­tal side get­ting the goals through the boots of Welling­ton Ng­wenya and Proud Shara — @to­by­man­dox.
