Knife man ‘violates’ Grade 7 pupil

A MAN from Magwegwe suburb in Bulawayo been arraigned for allegedly forcing a 12-year-old girl to suck his manhood at knifepoint.

Brian Sibanda (33) yesterday appeared before Western Commonage magistrate Ms Tancy Dube charged with aggravated indecent assault.

He allegedly abused the girl, whose name has been withheld for ethical reasons but is a Grade seven pupil at Nyamande Primary School in Old Lobengula suburb.

Sibanda denied the charges and was remanded in custody to September 26.

Prosecuting, Ms Margaret Takawira told the court that Sibanda met the juvenile and asked her to help him carry groceries to his house.

When they arrived, Sibanda allegedly got into the house and invited her to come in.

“He closed the door and produced a knife, threatening the complainant to keep quiet. He unzipped his trousers and ordered the complainant to play with his manhood.

“He then told her to undress and lie on the bed, facing upwards,” said Ms Takawira.

“He lay on top of her but failed to penetrate. The accused person then asked the complainant to suck his manhood. He later told her to fondle him until he ejaculated on her hand.”

She said when she was released, the complainant narrated her ordeal to her friend.

The friend told her grandmother who accompanied them to the police, leading to Sibanda’s arrest. — @andile_tshuma
