Victoria Falls municipality doing good job
EDITOR — May I thank the municipality of Victoria Falls for doing a splendid service on residential roads in Chinotimba and Mkhosana suburbs. The roads were an eyesore and dangerous to both pedestrians and motorists.
It is a beehive of activity in the resort town as construction vehicles are seen shuttling around resurfacing roads. Ratepayers are indeed impressed with this development.
We are now eagerly awaiting the completion of the roads resurfacing and naming of the roads in Nambya, which is a predominant language in Hwange District.
After the completion of the construction of roads, residents would be happy if names such as Shana, Mazhanga, Bumbusi, Nelukoba, Neluswi, among others, are used to name streets and shopping centres.
We implore the competent municipality to upgrade a shopping centre near the new tavern and rename it in Nambya as currently the said centre is informally called Busi Shopping Centre. Please refurbish the road surfaces at the said centre and if funds permit, erect a few tower lights around.
I am happy about the progress in the development and management of the resort town by the municipality. Victor “The Broken Gasket” Sibanda, Victoria Falls.
