Evan Mawarire will be shamed in UK

Chronicle (Zimbabwe) - - National News -

EDITOR — Pastor Evan Mawarire is expected in the United Kingdom at the end of this month. After a failed protest at the UN, I wonder what he thinks he will achieve in the UK.

The reality is that the re-engagement with Zimbabwe has already begun and nothing will stop this process.

Mawarire was shown by the African Americans in the United States that there is a strong affinity to President Mugabe and the work that he has done to empower black Africans. President Mugabe is regarded as an icon abroad.

I hope the so-called Zanu-PF group in the UK will mobilise people who support President Mugabe to stage a solidarity demo as well, like the December 12 group in the US, to show the fake pastor that he’s not needed in Zimbabwe and that his actions are counterrevolutionary.

This will be a true test of the Zanu-PF group’s power and influence in the country.

You cannot have these shadowy groups calling themselves Zanu-PF while hobnobbing with opposition elements while claiming to represent the revolutionary party. Let’s see how far they go in Britain. I would also like to thank members of D12. They are true sons and daughters of the soil who continue to show support to the ongoing revolution against neo-imperialism. Benson Nyatoro, Via e-mail.
