Vehicles without number plates wreak havoc

Chronicle (Zimbabwe) - - National News -

EDITOR — I am a motorist and am on the road every day. I have observed vehicles without number plates or number plates that are covered by various things, eg cloth, stickers and etc.

These vechiles are causing havoc on our roads including accidents and they disappear without trace. The police are all over the show but are not doing anything to get rid off these vehicles.

You go to 6th Avenue Extension, all kombies do not have number plates or they are covered. Does this mean that our police force has failed to bring sanity on the roads.

Why should we have roadblocks? Are they just there for the law abiding motorists if they cannot enforce the laws on law breakers.

This is a great cause for concern because I have seen these vehicles even on the national highways now. The roads have become a jungle and something must be done urgently before we lose more lives. Concerned citizen, 11 Heyward Close, Hillside, Bulawayo
