Cops ask for help in miss­ing pupil case

PO­LICE in Bu­l­awayo are look­ing for a 17-year-old Gif­ford High School Form Two pupil who went miss­ing last month.

Nyashadza­she Mchibwa from Suburbs was last seen on Septem­ber 29 at about 4PM wear­ing his school uni­form.

Bu­l­awayo po­lice spokesper­son In­spec­tor Pre­cious Si­mango said Nyashadza­she did not re­turn home on that day and he has not been seen ever since.

“He was stay­ing at Num­ber 28A Law­ley Road, Suburbs, Bu­l­awayo. He is 1,7M tall medium built, dark in com­plex­ion and has black hair. He was last seen wear­ing his khaki school uni­form and was car­ry­ing a black satchel,” said Insp Si­mango.

She said mem­bers of the pub­lic who may have in­for­ma­tion that will as­sist to lo­cate the school­boy should contact the po­lice.

“Any­one with in­for­ma­tion re­gard­ing his where­abouts can contact Of­fi­cer in Charge ZRP Bu­l­awayo Cen­tral on land­line 09-71515 or the in­ves­ti­gat­ing of­fi­cer Con­sta­ble Moyo on 0783295527,” she said.

Last year, more than seven pupils mainly from Nku­lumane and Em­gan­wini sub­urb went miss­ing with only two be­ing lo­cated.

Ol­bright Munkuli, 17, a Form Five pupil at Hamil­ton High School went miss­ing in July and was found at United Bu­l­awayo Hospi­tal’s In­ten­sive Care Unit four months later. An­other one, a 15-year- old girl sur­ren­dered her­self to the po­lice in July last year, two days af­ter po­lice is­sued an ap­peal to peo­ple who may have seen her af­ter she went miss­ing.

When she turned her­self in to the po­lice and asked to be taken home, it was dis­cov­ered that when she left home in Emakhan­deni sub­urb she had been co­hab­it­ing with a 23 year old man who was later jailed for sleep­ing with a mi­nor.— @ nqot­shili.
