Just do it

Chronicle (Zimbabwe) - - National News -

Philippians 4 vs 13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Do you know of the type of people who never get anything done? They have an endless stream of excuses about why things cannot be done. They put off even the simplest things and offer an excuse. They continuously promise that it will be done tomorrow and tomorrow never comes.

We are all surrounded by walls, some real and some invisible. Within the context of these walls we can either decide to scale them or just look at them and be fearful from afar, hoping for a miracle.

Life is a challenge made up of various experiences that make us who we are. What is your personal brand? Are you an action-oriented person willing to meet every challenge or are you easily defeated at the onset of any obstacle?

Human beings differ by characteristic and trait, we however share one thing in common which is our desire to live. So many people have left a mark on humanity through their desire to make a difference by stepping out and actually doing the things they are convicted to achieve.

Some of the problems we encounter and have to deal with are associated with our inability to pursue the things we know we should. The circle of life is such that every month, regardless of where we are, we have expenses. These are living expenses like rent, food, medical bills, utility and power bills. Living generally comes at a cost.

As we embark on this journey to meet the costs associated with our living the duty of care is upon us to be able to meet these expenses. The minute we don’t do that all hell breaks loose, stress accumulates and things go out of hand.

Opportunities are all around us, things we could be trying to do. Not everyone has been given the gift of being formally employed but we have all been given talents. The question is: how are we using these talents, are we just sitting on them?

Some of the problems we end up with are selfinflicted just because of our inability to act on the things we know we should be. Circumstances and provision differ, but our Father has assured us that at minimum He will look after our needs. Outside of our needs there are things firmly planted in us that we should be pursuing.

Let’s begin to be action-oriented people who live life with a purpose, individuals who want to leave a mark behind; big or small. The world is filled with things we need to be doing despite the endless excuses we give as to why we cannot do them. Let’s get things done.

A famous sports apparel has a pay of line we all know: Just do it. Are you about to come up with an excuse? Are you tired, weak and heavy laden? Pray to the father above, He will give you the strength you need.

Be blessed
