Noma wins Idols SA S12

TWENTY-TWO-YEAR-OLD Noma Khu­malo from Pi­eter­mar­itzburg, KwaZulu-Natal is the winner of Idols South Africa sea­son 12.

The stu­dent teacher beat Thami Shobede and be­comes the first wo­man in seven sea­sons to win the cov­eted ti­tle. For her ef­forts, Noma will be signed by Gallo Record Com­pany.

It is a beau­ti­ful story for the winner as she only au­di­tioned be­cause her school kids pushed her to. Af­ter she got the golden ticket dur­ing the au­di­tions she called them up in a touch­ing mo­ment.

The rat­ings for this year’s edi­tion will ex­cite the pro­duc­ers who are back with sea­son 13 next year as 14 mil­lion votes were cast last week.

Sea­son 13 au­di­tion dates have been un­veiled with Cape Town hope­fuls be­ing the first to be au­di­tioned on Jan­uary 14. – On­line
