Man at­tacks wife with ham­mer

A JAMBEZI man has ap­peared in court charged with phys­i­cal abuse af­ter he used a ham­mer to as­sault his wife re­sult­ing in her sus­tain­ing head in­juries.

A mis­un­der­stand­ing en­sued af­ter the wife told the ac­cused that she wanted to visit her fam­ily.

The two started fight­ing and the wife grabbed the ac­cused’s pri­vates and he re­tal­i­ated by strik­ing her with a ham­mer, Vic­to­ria Falls mag­is­trate Ms Ran­gari­rai Gakanje heard yes­ter­day.

Buyalani Ncube (47) of Chenje vil­lage who is fac­ing charges of phys­i­cal abuse, has pleaded guilty. He was re­manded in cus­tody to to­day for judg­ment. Mr Takunda Ndovorwi is ap­pear­ing for the State.— @non­sy_m
