SALISBURY, 15 September 1917. — Feeling over the proposed canning factory side is still keen and the local supporters of the Odzi site are not sitting still to let the Salisbury people walk away with the prize.
There is certain to be a fair attendance of local shareholders at the meeting on the 24th, and it is said that any exchange in the proposed site will have the effect in wrecking the present scheme.
Local mining is still going ahead. The Rezende are working at full pressure and everything points to our having one of the best and biggest mines in the country.
The Kent output is not much less than last month, in spite of their doing a bit of outside crushing. The Liverpool new plant is nearing completion and then everybody will be glad to see Mr Snodgrass with a regular output of over four figures.
