Tay­lor says he is back for good

EVEN dur­ing his years of iso­la­tion from in­ter­na­tional cricket, Bren­dan Tay­lor al­ways kept a Twit­ter pro­file pic­ture of him­self in his Zim­bab­wean jersey.

He also de­scribed him­self on that plat­form as a ‘’proud Zim­bab­wean.’’

And now that he is com­ing home to play for his coun­try again, af­ter a flir­ta­tion with English county cricket, the for­mer skip­per says he is com­ing for good. ‘’Just to clear the air ,I am re­turn­ing to rep­re­sent my coun­try again af­ter 3 years and this time I plan to fin­ish my ca­reer with @ZimCrick­ettv,’’ he said on Twit­ter.

‘’It is with a heavy heart I say good­bye to ev­ery­one @Tren­tBridge to­day. A place I will al­ways keep very close to me! Thank you for hav­ing me.’’

For­mer Aus­tralian cricket Tom Moody be­lieves Tay­lor will fin­ish his ca­reer in style.

‘’All the best with your re­turn home, you’re a credit to @Tren­tBridge & @ ZimCrick­ettv. I’m sure you’ll fin­ish in style.’’ In­dian cricket legend, Ma­hen­dra Singh Donhi, said it was good to see Tay­lor back.
