SAL­IS­BURY, 15 Novem­ber 1967. — A re­cent meet­ing of the Mount Pleas­ant Boys’ High School Par­ent-Teach­ers’ As­so­ci­a­tion, at­tended by about 25 per­cent of par­ents, de­cided by a small ma­jor­ity in favour of school be­ing made co-ed­u­ca­tional, the chair­man, Mr R Herzestein, said yes­ter­day.

Mr Herzestein said a fur­ther meet­ing of lo­cal pri­mary school PTAs would be held to­mor­row night to dis­cuss the sub­ject. It would be held at Mt Pleas­ant TMB at 8pm.

He ex­pected that a fur­ther pub­lic meet­ing on the pro­posed co-ed­u­ca­tional school for Mount Pleas­ant would be held next month.

“The Ed­u­ca­tion De­part­ment is try­ing to get as much pub­lic opin­ion as it can on the pro­pos­als,” he said.
