BUDDING sungura artiste Simbarashe Muchita and Juicer Mpostori will curtain up the year 2018 with a joint performance at Rozvi Sports on New Year’s Day.

The two artistes who have been dominating Mutare’s entertainment scene following the release of their high-riding albums will share the same platform for the first time this year.

The show is dubbed “New Year’s Day Mega Gig”.

The bar, popularly known as Crèche Yemadhara, has become one of the hottest entertainment joints in the sprawling suburb of Dangamvura, thanks to its old school sessions and pool tournaments.

Show organiser Eddie Gopo confirmed the show and said it was all systems go.

“We are going to start the New Year on a high note with two ambitious artistes who have fared well in the local entertainment scene. This is also part of our appreciation to patrons and revellers who were always with us,” he said.

Since its inception, the watering hole, which is situated at Matongo Business Centre, has provided undiluted entertainment through hosting celebrated emcees and musicians.

The bar drew more revellers this year after the introduction of old school sessions hosted by sound movement, Tuff Nuff. The sessions have proved popular with revellers in the suburb. The movement, which specialises in old and new school music, is led by veteran wheel spinner DJ Ranga who boasts more than 20 years experience on the turntables.
