RISING Rusape-based dancehall artiste Lipa Tee’s stock continue to sparkle and shine as he last week dropped his third album at a glittering launch at Vengere Hall.

Lipa Tee, whose real name is Tonderai Mutete and is backed by a live band, The Victory Syndicate Band, believes his album, “Brewing Problems”, is good enough to compete well with other established names in the dancehall arena. “Brewing Problems” has 11 tracks “Officer”, “Chiremba”, “Party”, “Munamato”, “Zimbabwe”, “Madzimai”, “Hobho”, “Mwedzi Mutete”, “Anoti Nyo”, “Friendly Match” and “Legacy”.

Lipa Tee believes his third album will wean him from being a small artiste and position him among the big guns in the genre that has taken the nation by storm.

“I believe this album will dominate the airwaves because we invested a lot of energy and resources to come up with this product. We have improved from the way we produced our two previous albums.

“I know competition in dancehall genre is tough, but I am ready for to face it.

“The album is already receiving favourable airplay on all radio stations and it is so encouraging. This festive season we will be touring various cities performing with other artistes and this will help us to market ourselves.

“We will not be picking fights with other artistes, but we want to complement what they are already doing for the development of the music sector.

“Brewing Problems is a decent album with clean lyrics which suits all age groups. We are not targeting youths only, but mature fans also,” said the 26-year-old musician.
