Motorists must not hoard fuel

The Manica Post - - Local News -

EDITOR — While there is panic buying of fuel and queues getting longer by the day, people should applaud efforts by the Ministry of Energy and Power Development to ensuring that the precious liquid is available at service stations in the country.

We see tankers almost every day offloading fuel at service stations, but queues keep increasing. Service stations should allow motorist to fuel up their vehicles.

Motorists must know that it is very dangerous to store fuel in houses. I know a number of homes that were torched and razed when the fuel caught fire.

The illegal foreign currency dealers must be licensed so that all the forex out there becomes part of fiscus and finds its way to the bank officially.

When illegal gold dealers were licensed, Fidelity Printers benefited a lot because gold now find its way to the official buyer.

This could be a remedy to the foreign currency crisis the country is currently facing.
