Supa ar­rested in anti-graft cru­sade

NYANGA South Mem­ber of Par­lia­ment and for­mer In­for­ma­tion Com­mu­ni­ca­tion and Tech­nol­ogy and Cy­ber Se­cu­rity Min­is­ter Supa Mandi­wanzira was on Tues­day ar­rested on al­le­ga­tions of crim­i­nal abuse of of­fice and spent the night at the Mat­api Po­lice Sta­tion in Mbare, Harare.

He ap­peared in court on Wed­nes­day and was granted $2 000 bail, and chief mag­is­trate Mr Mishrod Gu­va­mombe or­dered him to pro­vide surety in the form of ti­tle deeds to the tune of $100 000. He was also or­dered to sur­ren­der his travel doc­u­ments to the clerk of court and to con­tinue stay­ing at his given ad­dress pend­ing the fi­nal­i­sa­tion of the mat­ter.—
