Kasoma Africa 2017 Essay Writing Competition
Public Speaking (GFPS) in Partnership with Kasoma Africa will introduce the first edition of the Kasoma Africa-GFPS Annual Essay Writing Competition. The competition is designed to encourage storytelling amongst Zimbabwean students to enable them to tell their everyday stories to the rest of the world.
To enter the competition, dubbed, “Tell your African story” all you have to do is choose one of the following options today living in Zimbabwe;
•OR tell a childhood story that highlights what it is like to be raised in Africa/Zimbabwe;
•OR tell a story about anything unique to Zimbabwe;
•OR write an opinion-based story about past or current affairs;
•OR write about a recent or upcoming event of particular interest in Zimbabwe/Africa.
Each submitted story will be judged on whether it gives someone an idea of what it feels like to live in Zimbabwe and a true reflection of everyday life in Zimbabwe or lifestyle of a Zimbabwean.
Winning entries should: in length. the writer has experienced based on living in Zimbabwe; OR a childhood story that highlights what it is like to be raised in Africa; OR a story about anything unique to Zimbabwe; OR an opinion-based story about past or current affairs; OR a recent or upcoming event of particular interest. living in Zimbabwe or being a Zimbabwean. nostalgic feeling amongst adjudicators.
